The Original
Mindful Grief Circles
Welcome to Your Community
with people who get you, see you, understand you, support you.
The original program since 2014
““I felt really heard for the first time. I’ve been to many support groups but this is the first time it felt like I wasn’t being judged.”
““In the midst of my grief, I was held with grace, understanding and kindness. I could not recommend Yasemin enough.”
You don’t have to get over your grief.
You can learn to carry your grief with more peace, compassion, and support.
This isn’t about letting go.
It’s about holding on in a new way — with steadiness, breath, and community.
“I didn’t know I needed this until I was in it. It didn’t take the grief away, but it gave me room to breathe.”
— Participant
Grief doesn’t go away.
But how you carry it — and how it carries you — can shift.
These groups are here to help you:
Feel more grounded when everything feels too much
Be with others who truly understand — no fixing, no pressure
Build your capacity to meet waves of emotion with care
Find language, practices, and space for the parts that feel unspeakable
Connect with your grief, gently, without being overwhelmed by it

The Original Mindful Grief Circles
These groups began as the original Mindful Grief Circles — small, quiet spaces I created over a decade ago for people like you who are grieving and want something more than just “talking about it.”
Over time, they’ve evolved into something deeper and more structured — informed by:
Grief research from my Master’s and current doctoral work
Western and Eastern psychology
12+ years of supporting thousands of grieving people
Personal experiences of profound loss
Certification in thanatology, mindfulness, end-of-life care, and compassion training
Volunteering in hospice and working across corporate, academic, and clinical-adjacent settings
What hasn’t changed is the intention:
A safe, sacred space where your grief is welcome exactly as it is.
This is not therapy. Not a course. Not a drop-in group.
This is a sanctuary for your grief.
“This helped me understand that I wasn’t broken. I was grieving. And grieving takes time, space, and gentleness.”
— Participant, Spouse Loss Group
Created by a grief and mindfulness expert with lived experience + grief-specific training
Guided, not peer-led — real structure and trauma-informed care
Rooted in evidence-based grief research, mindfulness, and compassion
Inclusive, non-judgmental, and spiritually neutral
Offers more than sharing: tools, space, insight, and presence

A Note About Fees
I know that grief can leave you feeling emotionally exhausted and overwhelmed, and it’s natural to wish that support during this time could be free. But just as we pay for food, shelter, and other basic needs to take care of our physical well-being, it’s also essential to invest in our emotional and mental health. Grief support is no different — it requires time, expertise, and resources to provide the thoughtful care and guidance that each person deserves.
The fees for this group help ensure that I can continue to offer a safe, supportive space for your healing, while covering the costs associated with creating the program and providing the resources you need. Please know that I, too, am not independently wealthy and rely on these fees to support myself and my family, while also serving those in need in the way I believe is sacred and important. My goal is to offer compassionate, accessible support to as many people as possible, and these fees help make that possible.
If the full fee is difficult for you at this time, please don’t hesitate to reach out. I offer a sliding scale, and I’m more than happy to work with you to find a solution that feels right. If you’re able to contribute at the full price, I kindly ask that you consider supporting the scholarship fund, which helps others who may be facing financial challenges. And if this program doesn’t feel like the right fit for you right now, I hope you are able to find the support that best suits your needs.
Your healing is important, and I want to make sure you receive the care and attention you deserve during this difficult time.
